Not a rockstar. Just very reliable.
Hi there! I’m Katarine — a Junior UI/UX designer who believes that clean, user-friendly, and accessible interfaces make the digital world a much nicer place (and save users from yelling at their screens).
I’ve got a sharp eye for detail, a brain that enjoys untangling problems, and a soft spot for WCAG standards — because good design should work for everyone. I’ve already tackled a few web and mobile projects, always with a focus on making things smoother, smarter, and just… better.
Right now, I’m leveling up my skills with the goal of one day becoming a Senior Designer — the kind who mentors others and still names their Figma layers properly (ambitious, I know).
Languages? English fluently, German at a solid B1–B2 (enough to survive meetings and order complex coffee). I also have a background in professional photo retouching and speak Photoshop as a second language.
Before switching to design, I spent 12 years on the radio as a live broadcaster and correspondent — so storytelling, connecting with people, and paying attention to the tiny details? That’s in my DNA. Now I bring those skills into every project I work on.
When I’m not busy with building components in Figma, I’m probably out chasing the perfect beam of light with my camera — photography keeps my eye sharp and my inner perfectionist entertained. Evenings are for time travel via classic novels (Dickens is my ride-or-die) and doodling cats and other oddly shaped animals in Sketchbook. It’s relaxing, slightly chaotic, and all lovingly archived on my Pinterest account.
